Some of them are really complicated and involve a level of study that I know for sure that is beyond my scope of success since it requires a few months of preparation or at the very least having a teacher or some explanations to tutor and learn from.
Will therefore put my efforts to get a better grade on the remaining exams and leave these time consuming exams for another time. Within a couple of years I'm planning on taking a full year or two away from work so that I can attend in full time a university in mainland but this goal requires saving a very substantial amount of money to support my family in the meanwhile (not so difficult because I do save a bunch of money each month).
Nevertheless, these semester exams require a lot of concentration to study so my wife went to mainland for these remaining weeks to spend some quality time with her own family. I've been recently with my relatives some weeks ago but she didn't visited her parents since last February so it was also due time for a small vacation time over there.
She will return at the end of this month along with her father and younger brother so that we can all take vacations and do some tourism around the other Azorean islands.
This involves a lot of boat travels but these vacations are very promissing. Last year I went alone with my wife to meet the Pico, Terceira, Faial and S. Jorge - it was a really great summer, let's hope we can repeat it again this year.
In the meanwhile I'm left alone in the house and I already miss my wife so much. I've learned that one can only appreciate the wife's effort when we start doing domestic tasks on our own.
Will also take the extra free time and get my hands to improve the winbuilder code along with Peter, the next beta is so promissing that it's working under ubuntu and windows 2000. But I should be careful or no time will be left for studies in the first place..
